Many "vendors" were on hand Friday,
October 7 to raise awareness about domestic violence. The gathering took place in the large parking area next door to the
Bartlett Library. Chik-Fil-A and hot dogs were served up as a delicious free lunch for anyone who wanted to stop by and learn
more about recognizing the signs of domestic violence, what to do if a friend asks for help, how to help and many other important
lessons that may help save a life. Java House is the sponsor of the annual event.
For general questions about domestic violence and non-emergency issues you can reach Java House by
email at thejavahouse@gmail.com, or if you prefer or need someone to speak with, please call 901-262-1113. If you are in a life
threatening situation, please call the police at 911. If you are not familiar with Java House,
we would be pleased to hear from you. Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to
help. In brief, you should know the following about us: Java House is a faith-based, Christ-centered,
program here to assist those who are in domestic violent situations within the Bartlett community. We offer free
advocacy and free referral services to counseling, legal, and other agencies as appropriate. Again
if you are in a domestic violent situation, please don't hesitate contacting us. Java House is a faith-based organization
ready to assist you in any way we can. We know that living in domestic violence is a horrible way to live; it really
isn't living; it's existing. We know it can be a lonely existence, and we want you to know you are not alone.
WE are here. Be Blessed My Friend. Jeremiah 29:11
