Veteran's Day Ceremony

Bartlett is very proud of it's Veterans. Each year the Veteran's Day Ceremony grows in number of participants. This year's estimate was about 300 people attended the ceremony.

The Bartlett Police Department started the ceremony with the Posting of the Colors.

Many in the crowd were also veterans.

Penny Medlock sang the National Anthem beautifully for the crowd gathered at Veterans Park.

So many veterans stood proudly as the ceremony progressed.

Many veterans of World War II were present.

Steve Sims gave a very emotional speech about his time in Vietnam and his duty to his country.

Bartlett's elected officials sat at the front with the family of Walter K. Singleton, Medal of Honor

Chief Wiggins granddaughter Charli was a little Yankee Doodle Dandee

The laying of the wreath was done by Mayor McDonald and Cliff Rowell

Mayor McDonald spoke of veterans who served in the past and men and women still serving today.

Assistant Fire Chief Baxter was dressed for the occasion.

Ron Lollar got to meet Mr. Pattison, a hero, who drove one of the boats during the Normandy invasion

Brittany Betts played Tapps as the wreath was layed.


The Bartlett Police Department Honor Guard ended the program with the retiring of the colors.
